At TalkPark, we like to have fun. However, we do have some rules to prevent utter chaos from breaking out.
We're sure you'll understand. Below is a list of rules and their punishments. Punishments are listed in order of infractions, from first onwards.
Advertising Clause: At TalkPark, we understand how difficult it is to start a new forum and have little support from your peers. However, advertising is strictly forbidden here, sort of. You see, posting your forum in the Freakshow is an excellent way of letting people know your forum is out there. You may also link to your forum using various spots in your profile. Heck, you can even make your display name the URL (so long as it fits within the space parameter).
However, any other form of advertising is forbidden. If it's not listed in this clause, you cannot do it.
Now the Lol A-Query-Um is a board with no rules. Can you advertise there? Sure, you can technically, but as it is a board with no rules you will most likely be lambasted for it unless you're a respected member of the forums.
Another way to advertise is to accumulate the proper amount of Checks and BUY advertisement from us using those Checks.
Trolling: Trolling is creating posts that deliberately aggravate other members and coerce them into flaming you.
Punishments: Warning, Warning, 24 Hour Ban, Week Ban, Perma Ban
Flaming: Flaming is cursing other members out and insulting others without reason.
Punishments: Warning, Warning, Month Ban, Perma Ban
Spamming: A very broad infraction. We are very lenient about the quality of posts here at TalkPark. Good quality posts are always encouraged, however. If staff deems that your posts never contribute anything, due action will be taken. Note that we no longer have a TOS.
Punishments: Warning, Perma Ban
Disrespect & Harassment: We ask that each member treats one another courteously. Harassing members through the use of Private Messaging will not be tolerated. Disrespecting staff will not be tolerated.
Punishments: Warning, Warning, Warning, Week Ban
Staff Disobedience: Any member that sabotages this forum (through means of cracks/hacks, etc) is subject to extreme consequences. Staff may never delete posts or threads. ALL posts must be archived appropriately. No member may delete posts or threads with approved content; in other words, if your thread is stickied you may not delete it or any posts in it.
Punishments: Demotion/Perma Ban
Hairy Potter: Any member found to be owning a Hairy Potter forum or being associated with a Hairy Potter forum will be permanently banned from TalkPark with no questions asked and no room for forgiveness. Hairy Potter forums are a sin. Cleanse yourself of them before you come through our doors.
Websense: Any member working for the evil Websense corporation or is found to have family working in the corporation will be permabanned without second thoughts. Publicly stating you have any sort of respect for the company warrants a warning, followed by a ban for repeated offenses.
Spamming and Trolling Other Forums: TalkPark does not support or encourage the spamming and trolling of any other site. We don't allow our name to be associated in anything without our consent. Our staff does not participate in such activities. This website is not responsible for our members actions outside of this forum.
Staff may, at any moment, hand out any punishment for any reason. This is not likely to happen unless you start doing questionable activity.[/i]
* We don't like punishing, and we hope to never even warn a member. You're here to chill. So for most members, it's likely that you'll never even need to look over these rules more than once. Good posting comes naturally to most people.
